Ebon Plaguebringer only affects the DK's own diseases anymore, thankfully.

I've stopped playing SoD now because of these incursions, no one will do dungeons or quests with me because of that. Everything I ask for is totally drowned out by all the noise about incursions. Which are a horrible design. People complain about daily quests like Isle of Queldanas, but at least you could do that solo as well as chill out and talk while doing it.

Quick correction, the nerf to M'uru's pushback was in original Sunwell in a patch after the raid's release, 2.4.2.

What I don’t understand is why Aspect of the Fox comes in so late in levelling - with high haste focus management isn’t nearly as painful, having that boost to regen and being able to move while casting steady shot would make levelling a lot less painful

My understanding was that raids and dungeons are post Hot-Fix but pre nerf?

The problem with fury in cata isn't just that you didn't get many abilities, it's that you don't have rage to spam the ones that you do have. Usually arms feels like the slow and clunky spec, but in Cata it's fury. Not just that buy fury just flat out doesn't deal enough damage to make up for how clunky it is, either.

WOTLK is just bad, just like in the old days it made lvling feel pointless, it killed the old world, dungeons are just a AoE rush, it's all about getting to raids superfast and raidlog, we asked for the same things this time around, got it, and act shook that we get the same dropoff.

Imo: they need to limit farming in general. Hardcore best feature was locking 5 mans to one clear per day

writing this before watching the vid. i noticed a lot of people started leveling an arms warri on my server... this is also one of the two classes that usually show up when you google something like "what is the best dps class in cata"... its gonna be a hard awakening for a lot of people once they realise its not as easy as playing an hunter lmao

Classic and TOGC both shows 1 thing, easy raids keeps the players around. Think people generally dont mind going in and just blastign the raid, getting upgrades, doing some parses and hang around with the guys. Ulduars decline is evident of it being the first raid that offered somewhat challenge. Maybe its time to look at a different raid formula where the high end raiding rewards something other than gear that people wouldnt nececarily care to much about or feel like they are losing out on, and keep the gear rewarding/parse competing raids to a regular difficulty.

@WillE i think you misunderstood the interview, unless you already made video about it (in which case I´m sorry). but even Scottyjae confirmed it later on that the Cata in going to be Pre-Nerf... it is just post-hotfix. Which actually made some encounters harder. ie. not being able to put your char on walk speed on Nefarion hc.

SoD was made to be played as a shaman or mage. Made a huuuuge mistake here playing paladin but hey, I had to try something else, been a mage for ages now. Also imagine all the frustrated raid leaders that check logs on a seasonal realm, hilarious.

If you want to play it casually... then play it casually... just because there are WBs, etc. it doesn't mean you have to have them... play it casually, just lower your standards from a min max to... a casual... this is not rocket science

I'm not a world PvP fan (for the 'being ganked repeatedly' reason), but PvP server populations are higher and stay higher for longer. It's unfortunate, but you have to pay the price if you want a more active server. Yes, we are sick of Alliance having camped raid portals since p1 (why aren't they actually entering the raid; why are they constantly just hanging out there, killing Horde who want nothing more than to just zone in and actually do the content?). But there's not a lot to be done. At least it's not bashing your head against incursions. :)

SoD Phase 1 felt like something close to classic +, and then Phase 2 and 3 turned out to be just a WoW Retail-Lite, just go as fast as possible to max level, and do some raids. What I wanted from SoD, is actually sticking to the name, and discovering new additional quests, some changes to less popular zones etc...

Even most of the phase 2 I was just PvPing… phase 3, I lvled up my character and when I googled the runes, I stopped playing… What bothers me the most on SoD is the time commitment… I have like 2-3h to play the game a most of the time I’m just flying from one side of the world to the other and then back… Raids are just pushovers, dungeons basically non relevant… PvP just premade party hunting… 🤷🏻‍♂️ did enjoy phase 1 since I could try different classes and experiment since the time investment wasn’t so bad… I used to love Vanilla, Classic, TBC, Wotlk, Cata… However, I’m not a high schooler/uni student anymore… I wanna play the contend in the game, not spending 90% of time afk…

Ehh you don't need world buffs or consumables or even do the profession quests that 3 things you can skip and your not missing anything if you do skip them

yeah I used to do power leveling and that felt great. in classic release I had 7 alts at level 60. Legit leveled a mage on a second account used that account to power level myself. But they decided to ruin the effective ones.. I enjoy effective grinding so I liked doing power leveling to level my characters. I hate questing to level. I also hate rep grinds. The only rep grnids I even "like" would be daily quests of a cap of 7 or so that I just have to do on a daily grind to get the rep. Makes it tolerable. Also adding tabbards that give you rep for downing bosses or stuf in instances is nice. I like outerworld grind stuff most and dungeon grind stuff second. Everything else is kinda meh.

SOD went in a bad direction with the new phase imo. Our guild couldn't manage to shift up to 20 man instead of 10 man. Everybody ended up quitting. Kind of a shame. 10 man content was working really well for us.

We all know what happed to SoD .Nightmare Incursions took 80% of the population into 1 area . Somehow Blizzard found a way to ruin a good thing.

Telling you. The community is ruining Blizzard games. I don't care what anyone says but the best experience I has in Wow was Cata between launch and Firelands. Diablo 4 between season 1 and 3. Everything now just feels like a mobile game. All atmosphere is gone. The soul is gone. I still enjoy but I genuinely had the best experiences during these times.

Really really enjoyed the longer form content. You make a lot of great points. Most relatable to me was SOD becoming less alt friendly as the reason I stopped playing. It became too much work. And OMG I HATED the "travel here, talk to npc, now travel back" quests.

You are underestimating how truly over tuned these fights were. They will still be extremely challenging. Trust the devs

Stop complaining about games being easy. Just stop. Cataclysm was awful due to difficulty. Achieve somewhere else, relax playing a game that is easy and fun. Stop pretending that success in a game is something to be proud of. Achieve in life, relax in game. Take cues from Pandaria Remix - fun, easy, enjoyable.

So justice points stay as the currency for Heirloom in cata? Just wanna know if its worth farming Justice points for heirloom in pre-patch

Really good video once again WillE! heres my take on some of the problems, Remove gold gain from incursions and remove WB's,, then it feels more like VANILLA AND OFC more newplayer friendly cuz not that much anger when dying! And ultimately the parsing/logging should not be in the game, even tho the sweaty tryhards want it, it ruins the game.

Parsers, sweaty pumpers and gate keepers all over.

I can't believe I couldn't find a comment that makes the point I'm going to make, but I imagine you enjoy progression for a couple specific reasons, reasons that the majority of players must not have - a consistent raiding guild and solid relationships with people in those guilds. I enjoy progression because I've been raiding with these people for many years at this point. You can't do progression and or enjoy it if all you do is pug. Edit* The incursion caster ring is amazing! i have a ton of fun with it.

Just add 2 more raids based on vanilla lore with the same I lvl and difficulty of Nax. 1 new zone. 1 new dungeon. Duel spec and maybe transmog. NOTHING ELSE. 1 raid and new zone would both be the emerald dream.
